Summer lessons are available but are not included in the annual tuition

Quarterly payments are due: Sept 1, Dec 1, March 1, and June 1. Acceptable forms of payment are check, PayPal and Venmo. Checks should be made payable to Francesca Hurst. An email reminder will be sent approximately 2 weeks before each due date, and will include the mailing address for sending checks, and the Venmo and PayPal links should you choose one of those payment options.
All tuition payments are non-refundable unless I terminate the lessons.
Books and Fees
I will email you the titles of books required, and will send you links to purchase them directly online. If your child participates in festivals or competitions, all related fees (entry fees) will be charged to you before the entry due dates.
Please complete the enrollment form you receive via email and return to me at , even if you are a returning student. If your child participates in any festivals or competitions, I must have accurate information for entry materials.
There are no makeups for missed lessons. As a courtesy, I will try to make up the lesson during regular teaching hours if another student cancels. Do not assume that a missed lesson will automatically be made up. Whenever possible, if you have a conflict, please try to switch with another student during that week. The weekly schedule will be provided to you. While all lessons remain online, this should be fairly simple. If I have an emergency and must cancel a lesson, a makeup will be offered.
Online and in-person lessons
All lessons will be online through at least the end of 2020. A determination will be made later in the fall of 2020 regarding the spring semester. After it is safe to return to in-person lessons, you will have the option of continuing with online lessons, or taking lessons in my home studio in Annandale, VA. I will no longer be offering lessons in students’ homes.
You are welcome to record your child’s lesson. This can be a helpful practice tool during the week, if they want to review what we covered. I will be using Zoom for online lessons and you can record the lesson right from the Zoom window.
Group performance classes will be offered online through at least the fall of 2020. These classes will be offered about once a month on Saturday mornings. The schedule will be provided to you before the first day of fall lessons.
